|Anti-Aging Diary - monthly journey to youth, longevity and fitness from Reverse Aging Now, the anti-aging video.|
I’m writing this after a milestone. Two days ago, I swam non-stop for a full mile, my longest swim in more than twenty years. Yes, it was in the pool, but in training for the Malibu Triathlon’s initial half mile in the ocean, it’s good to know that my level of training, at least on the swim, is better than it was five years ago.
The running might be problematic. I was sailing along feeling good, working out well, when one Friday night after a run along the Venice Boardwalk, my hip started to hurt. I've had ankle and knee problems, but never a hip issue. My doctor put me on Ibuprophen for a week, and I've laid off my tennis and running, concentrating on bike riding and swimming. Before my injury, I did as much as three miles on the beach but the race finishes with four miles. I'd hate to limp through it.
Today I got in my longest bike ride in years, 23 miles, hitting a top speed of 24 MPH I finally installed my bike computer for an accurate reading and can use it to shift for speed.
My weight has stayed about the same, 195, which is 35 pounds down from my peak. I'd still like to lose some more before the race.
My blood pressure is good, 121 / 78, with a pulse of 63 controlled naturally.
Finally, best of all, Carolisa Pomerantz, the Associate Producer of Reverse Aging Now, saw me in a bathing suit for the first time this month. She said “You look Mahvelous. Yummy in my eyes,“ high praise from a lady who epitomizes the principles of anti-aging. Catch the producers of Reverse Aging Now on video.
|The phrase is entering our lexicon. So in the interest of adhering to the principles developed in the documentary Reverse Aging Now I'll now leave to go work out.|
