This August I've been able to get in a bit of sailing. We've had ideal weather, balmy without scorching heat. The waters of Santa Monica Bay have warmed up nicely to the seventies. Although in Southern California we are blessed by a Summer that actually lasts as long as the calendar claims that it does, it's hard to believe that there is little more than a month left to the Autumnal Equinox.
I've been putting in too many work hours, although I thoroughly enjoy what I do. I just launched a health newsletter for the Peter Schick Foundation that has started to find a receptive readership. LA Cityview has chosen me to do another documentary, this one on energy and water conservation, and I'm still writing steadily for Ehow.com. I can finally see my way clear to taking a few days off to actually relax. It's all too easy to get caught up in the daily grind of just earning a living.
